- Volunteer one week a month
- Communicate with the Nursery coordinator and find a substitute if you are unable to work on the week you have been assigned
- Be friendly and helpful as you welcome children and parents to nursery
- Help visitors find the correct classroom, sign in, and get name tags for their children
- Put visitors at ease by answering any questions they may have
- Be prepared to teach a lesson to the preschool/kindergarten class once a month
- Read and study your lesson ahead of class
- Prepare fun and exciting lessons that encourage our children to grow in their knowledge and love of our Savior Jesus Christ
- Maintain a safe environment for our children during nursery
- Make sure the nursery rooms are clean and in order before leaving
- Report any “incidents” to the nursery coordinator before going home
- Pray for the children in our program
- Develop relationships with our children and their parents
- Model a godly life before our children
