Continuing with our series on pentecost pastor Randy Nabors speaks to us on the descent of the Holy Spirit, and how God's Spirit enabled people of different ethnicities and languages to speak and hear the wonders of God.
“As Scripture says, 'Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.' For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" - Romans 10:11-13
Previously, Jesus told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem. He’s told them that the Holy Spirit will come upon them and he would empower them to be his witnesses. As they are waiting, pentecost season comes. In this season thousands of jews, from numerous parts of the world (including converted gentiles), come together to worship God. Its in this diversity of people that the Holy Spirit comes and the gospel begins to spread.
