ELECT After-School Program Assistant

ELECT seeks to recruit enthusiastic adults to supervise elementary school students in activities/programs at New City East Lake’s ELECT After School program. Staff provides direction for the students and implementation of curriculum, providing a quality experience to children and parents that focus on the ELECT’s values. This program operates in accordance with the Hamilton County Public Schools academic calendar.  

Job Duties:

  • Implements daily activity plans within the established guidelines by ELECT Director
  • Oversee and supervise the children, site, and all activities on a daily basis
  • Maintains program site and equipment; maintains required program records to be submitted to ELECT Director and YMCA partnership program
  • Assist with Spanish translation for parents of children enrolled in ELECT
  • Work closely with Director of ELECT program to oversee other tasks or assignments as required

  • Ability to use appropriate judgment, discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality
  • Ability to understand and to keep current on issues related to safety and security

Job Information

  • Time requirements: Monday - Thursday, 2:15 - 6:00pm
  • Additional hours may be requested by the supervisor outside of the normal schedule
