The Session and Personnel Committee are happy to announce the hiring of two new part time staff.

1. Pedro Martinez accepted the Audio, Visual and Technological  Director position and started two weeks ago.  He will be primarily in charge of the sound board, projection and translation on Sunday mornings.  This will be a help to Paul Smallman and should enhance the worship experience for the rest of us.  Additionally, Pedro will help us increase our use of technology in the services as well as in the gallery on Sunday mornings.  We are excited about his vision for the position and look forward to seeing how his creative thinking will add to the New City East Lake worship experience.

2.  Jack Stimart accepted the Youth Ministry Intern position and will start this Sunday.  After interview several potential candidates for the Youth Ministry Director position, the Personnel Committee decided to adjust the job description from "director" to "internship" to expand the pool of potential candidates.  Jack is from Chattanooga, a graduate of Chattanooga Christian School and a current student at Covenant College.  Not only were we impressed by his maturity and obvious love for Christ but we were excited about his desire to engage relationally with the youth of NCEL and the East Lake Community.

Please be praying for these young men as they work in these two important ministries of our church.   Both Pedro and Jack are in need of volunteers to help them so if you are interested please reach out to them or the church office.
